At Bodyweight Fitness, we LOVE kettlebells, but we manage to hold back and balance our workouts with bodyweight-only exercises too.
Kettlebells really provide a full-body workout – when incorporated into a squat, lunge or row – the core immediately needs to engage to maintain balance and stability with the added load. Kettlebells help elevate our workouts, upping the challenge as well as making it easier to train certain muscle groups.
If you’re new to kettlebells, we’ll get you started on the non-kettlebell version of an exercise, for example, a regular squat and once we’re happy with your form and you are feeling more confident, we’ll bring in kettlebells to safely level up the exercise. The Kettlebell weights range from 5kg to 18kg for the brave of heart.
Correct form will always be our top priority with quality always taking preference over quantity – so it’s never about lifting the heaviest weight, it’s about moving correctly and effectively with the best technique.
